Welcome back!! 💛

Recent events have reminded us of one of the most common misconceptions about luxury consignment: that every designer piece is automatically a fit for consignment.

At Valamode, every item is carefully assessed based on its condition, market popularity, and how well it aligns with what our clients are actively shopping for. Our goal is to curate a collection that reflects the tastes and expectations of our community, while giving each item the best opportunity to find its next loving home.

Because of this, we do have to be selective. Part of our expertise is understanding which styles, brands, and conditions resonate most with our clientele. When we accept an item for consignment, it's because we feel confident in its ability to perform well within our cliental. Occasionally, we may decline an item, which simply means that, based on our experience and current market trends, we don't believe it is the best match.

Condition may also plays a crucial role in resale value. Items that may be heavily soiled, peeling apart, structurally damaged, or have undergone poor-quality repairs often do not meet the standards our clients expect when purchasing with Valamode. In these cases, sometimes considering local thrifts or donating to charitable organizations will be better suited for finding a home for your items.

We understand that hearing "no" can sometimes be disappointing, but our selection process is designed to create the best possible experience for both our consignors and our shoppers. It's not personal!

Thank you for trusting us and for understanding that careful curation is part of what makes luxury consignment last!

Stay tuned as we continue our Consignment 101 series, breaking down everything you need to know to shop and consign with confidence. 💛✨
